Catalog / From Arp to Picasso / The collection of the Fondation des Treilles
The book is dedicated to the French art lover Anne Gruner Schlumberger (1905-1993), who is largely unknown in Germany. In its unique collection, it brought together masterpieces from the who's who of classical modernism, including sculptures, paintings, graphics and painter's books by prominent artists such as Hans Arp, Viktor Brauner, Hans Bellmer, Jean Dubuffet, Max Ernst, Henri Laurens, Fernand Léger and Pablo Picasso. The works of surrealist artists such as Max Ernst or Victor Brauner, with whom Anne Gruner Schlumberger was also a private friend, are a particular focus of the collection.
