Catalog / Thomas Kalak / Bangkok Cable Ways
Photographer Thomas Kalak focuses on seemingly banal details in an urban context. In his latest series, Bangkok Cable Ways, he focuses on the ubiquitous power and communication cables in Bangkok, which seem to have a life of their own above the heads of passers-by – uncontrolled, unplanned and chaotic. The cables spread like a growth to the furthest corners of Bangkok and proliferate into even the smallest food stall to let them share in the modern blessings of telecommunications and energy supply.
