Made for the Picasso Museum in Paris, this bag is illustrated with Picasso's famous 1949 drawing "The Dove of Peace".

In 1949, a few years after the Second World War, a major peace congress was held in Paris, organized by the World Movement of Supporters of Peace (of communist inspiration). For the occasion, Picasso designed a poster symbolizing the peace movement. Picasso drew the profile of a dove, like the white doves he kept in cages in his studio and those of the trees of his childhood in Malaga.
