Poster / Picasso / Portrait de Nush Eluard / 50 x 70 cm
The ethereal beauty and open laughter of Nuch (1906-1946), muse of surrealism and second wife of Paul Éluard, captivated Pablo Picasso as did numerous photographers, including Man Ray and Dora Maar. This "airy creature", as Brassaï called her, inspired him to create portraits of extraordinary stylistic variety, in which she appears fragile and translucent, wild or elegant.
